The rock sculptures in North Hill of Dazu Rock Carving is located on the north of Dazu county , 1.5km away from the town . All the human statues were made from 890 to 1162 AD. In this division , you will see thousands of big and small human statues featured by exquisite carving . These human statues display the Buddhist religious belief among the common people and indicated the development and change of the artistic style of grotto .Plump statues were made in Tang dynasty , smaller ones in Song dynasty .
