Although the habitat of pandas was striken by the earthquke ,most of the pandas survived in Sichuan province , hometown of pandas ,where 85% of the world's pandas inhabit .With the successful 23 births in 2008 ,14 in Chengdu Panda Breeding Center and 9 in Ya'an Bifengxia Panda Breeding Center ,the population of this endangered species almost amounts to over 1700 .

Wolong Panda Reserve is seriously damaged ,and the restoration of infrastructure is already on the way but takes time .In spite of that ,you can still travel to Chengdu to see the adorable pandas in Chengdu Panda Breeding Center and Ya'an Bifengxia Panda Breeding Center .There are about75 pandas in Chengdu center and about 70 in Bifengxia center .If you want to see pandas , don't hesitate to come to panda hometown .
